TSGE President's Message - Winter 2025

As we close out 2025, I want to extend my deepest gratitude to each of you for making this a truly monumental year for the Texas Society for Gastroenterology and Endoscopy. Together, we celebrated TSGE's 50th Anniversary - a milestone that reflects five decades of excellence, leadership, and community within our field.

Our 50th Annual Course in Houston was an extraordinary success and the best-attended course in TSGE history. The program featured outstanding lectures and cutting-edge education, a completely revamped Hands-On Endoscopy Course, and a memorable member-wide Golden Jubilee Celebration. The energy, enthusiasm, and engagement from our community made this historic gathering one we will remember for years to come.

This year also brought several key accomplishments for the society. We proudly surpassed 1,000 active members, a testament to the strength and growth of our GI community in Texas. Our Lobby Day at the Capitol was another major highlight - showcasing our unified voice in advocating for policies that support our patients and our profession. In addition, we awarded our 4th Annual TSGE Grant, continuing our investment in research, innovation, and the next generation of GI leaders.

As we look toward 2026, we are excited to launch several new initiatives - including the TSGE Regional Chapter Initiative, designed to build stronger local networks, enhance member engagement, and bring TSGE programming closer to home through six regional chapters across the state.

Thank you for your dedication to TSGE and to the patients we serve. It has been an honor to lead this society during such a historic year. I look forward to the opportunities ahead and to another year of growth, advocacy, and leadership.

Warm Regards,
Prashant Kedia, MD, FACG, FASGE
