Regional Chapters
Six regions, six ambassadors, and GI events close to home
Overview
To expand engagement, increase membership and strengthen local networks, the Texas Society for Gastroenterology and Endoscopy divides the state into six regional chapters, each led by a TSGE member serving as Regional Ambassador.
Each chapter hosts its own events — gut clubs, invited faculty lectures, journal clubs and networking socials — so members can connect with colleagues without crossing the state to do it.

The Regional Ambassador Role
Appointment & Term
Ambassadors are appointed for a two-year term. Eligible candidates must be active TSGE members in good standing.
Membership Growth & Engagement
Proactively recruit new members and engage existing members in the region, working toward collecting contact information for all GIs in that region.
Reporting
Ambassadors report directly to the Membership Committee Chair and attend all Membership Committee meetings.
Events
Host or organize two TSGE-sponsored regional events per year, aligned with the society’s mission — gut clubs, invited faculty lectures, journal clubs, networking socials or happy hours. All event proposals must be approved by the Membership Committee Chair.
Annual Metrics
Report each year on events held, a description of each, the number of new and repeat attendees, and attendee feedback scores.
